Daft to pretend that all calorie deficits are the same or even that the same deficit in food label calories will result in the same energy deficit.
This meme is wrong and demonstrates a deep ignorance about nutrition and diets.
I hate fat fucks as much as the next guy. Obviously if they were more intelligent they would not be fat. But these diets all do more than reduce calories.
Intermittent fasting in particular does not attempt to reduce calories. You are supposed to eat just as manny callories during the 8 hour window as you would otherwise. If you don't eat as much that is incidental. The diet is supposed to work without a deficite.
Most diets try to leverage some quirk of human biology to get a weight loss effect greater than simply cutting callories. Some simply try to make it easier to cut callories by tricking the body into thinking you ate more, others try to cut out a link in the chain of fat storage so you shit out more nutrients.
Different people have different sensitivity to all these factors so diets vary in effectiveness. Cutting calories works for everyone, but you can do better by understanding a little but about biology. Work smarter, not harder.
Yes, running a caloric deficit works, but fat people are drug addicts. They cannot control their urge to eat sugars and carbohydrates, and in many cases, drink alcohol. Sugars, carbs, and alcohol spikes their blood sugar levels and gives them a dopamine high. Show me an obese person and I'll show you a person with too much alcohol/sugar/and/or carbohydrates in their diet.
Telling a fat person to "run a caloric deficit" is like telling a crack addict to "just smoke 50% less crack and chew gum the other 50% of the time".
The goal of diets is to lessen the urge to eat compulsively, and the way to do that is to eliminate alcohol, sugar, and most carbohydrates from your diet. Fat people have a drug problem, and their drug of choice is alcohol, sugar, and carbohydrates. Fat and protein do not give you a blood sugar high.
They cannot control their urge
I'm going to give you the universal cure for ALL "not my fault" excuses. The Bear Test: If a bear was chasing you, would you still do it? It doesnt even matter what the excuse is.
If they'd stop to pickup a 2 liter of soda while Cocaine Bear was charging their fat ass, perhaps they actually cant control it.
If they'd fail to get off the couch and go to work on time if half a ton of CHOMP was barreling towards them, then maybe "using an alarm clock" really is beyond them.
If they had to get their crack by sneaking into Yogi's den and stealing it, and walk by the chewed corpses of the last five joggers who tried...maybe they really are "addicted" and cant control themselves.
You may notice a theme here: the "Muy addiction" excuses disappear real quick, and anyone who maaaaybe truly cant control it dies so quickly that they're irrelevant.
Fatties making excuses are not "addicted". They're deliberately choosing gluttony and sloth because they enjoy that more than temperance and the gym.
lol
Get out and Walk a mile, then two, then three. When this feels good, and it will, you can eat anything you want as long as you are walking.
Walking is highly underrated as an exercise.
Not true for everyone. Man body types will always have high blood pressure and extra belly fat even with exercise. Keto and pure Atkins will prove it to you in one week.
BS. Burn what you eat, and walking will do that.
I can tell you that there are certain people genetically predisposed to store belly fat even with tons of exercise. You see it in Marines, occasionally, where they will be tough enough to tear apart a bear but still have super high cholesterol, blood pressure and belly fat.
That doesnt mean you have to be a fatass
It's pretty easy to drop 5lbs in a day by simply fasting. Getting in the habit of fasting through a single meal here and there and only eating when you are actually hungry can have a dramatic impact. Break fast with something small like a granola bar and waiting until you feel hunger again before eating something small and suddenly you stomach will shrink (it's a lot cheaper than getting your stomach stapled) and your issues will suddenly become things like needing to buy new clothes because you can't keep your pants up and the fold in the waist of your jeans is pinching you under your belt.
The premise is valid, but 5 lbs is an overestimate. 1 lb of fat is 3500 calories. Even a starving person wont lose more than ~2/3 of a pound per day.
Keto is low carb HIGH FAT. You are not creating a calorie deficit unless you intend to as part of your diet.
