True story, I've eaten only a couple of bowls of beans and rice per day for the past three weeks, not always together, and haven't lost a pound. Black coffee, very little booze. Fat but not obese. Any ideas?

Cut sugars and carbs, eat butter fried eggs and meat. You will get tits from only eating beans it's bitch food.

Fats are good, carbs are shit. To lose weight you need less energy in than out and you also need to be in ketosis where your body metabolizes it's fat stores. It doesn't go into ketosis when you eat carbs because it makes you run on carbs instead. Eating fats forces your body to metabolize fats instead which makes you lose weight. Just think of carbs (bread, rice, potatoes, pasta etc) as pure sugar, it's not far off.

Replace that rice and beans with eggs.

Look into ketosis and ketogenic diet. That diet forces your body into burning fat without having to go hungry. There are pitfalls though that you need to know about, once a week you have a day where you eat carbs otherwise your body burns your collagen which can cause your hair to fall out and fingernails to snap. Proteins are also essential for building muscle and repairing your body after a workout. Fats are actually hard to get cheap in bulk, I'd recommend lots of eggs, it's a great cheap source of protein and it's filling. But do your research, don't take a randoms advice on a message board, look into it and do it properly
