It's necessary to be this stupid to be a liberal environmentalist. It's like, you're driving your Prius and the check engine light turns on and you're like "oh no. I guess we'll just dump it at the nearest landfill and go buy a new eco-friendly car". This is the entire mentality of environmentalists. Most tech and appliances are very easily serviced or COULD be very easily serviced for as low as 50 cents, but instead the focus is on creating mountains of waste as efficiently as possible and then recycling the mountains of garbage, instead of just never generating the waste in the first place. It's pure corporatism, political control and virtue signalling with a razor thin veneer of actual environmental change. The solutions are all obvious to anybody with a few brain cells, but they don't advance the elites agenda for control and would actually destroy their control structure. You know, if everyone was self-sufficient, had a garden in their yard and only had to buy new products once every 10-20 years then they're screwed. That's why none of the leftists are trained to talk about it.
