I got a UTI once after using a hot tub, lol
You know, if it isnt your hot tub, it is just some rando person’s dirty bathwater. Pools are a lot bigger and the cooties are diluted. Hot tubs are very condensed cooties. All kinds of people could have been in that bath water. Dindus and hindus. Hookers with herpes. Yeah.
Also being hot water provides a much favorable environment for the cooties than cool water. Even pools can be dangerously contaminated. I don't go in any hot tub but my own. A cast iron bathtub with a fire setup under it, it's awesome. I empty it after every use, no water chemicals required.
That sounds like a supersweet rig. Did you build it yourself? How did you implement the firebox? Brick?
Some people get all fancy with a copper coiled burn-box with a pump, also works real well, but its way more setup. I legit just light a fire under a cast tub, with expanded alli sheet on the bottom to prevent burns. Cheap as chips. The waste water goes straight to the garden.
You also generally chlorinate or add salt to swimming pools too. I've never heard of a chlorinated jacuzzi, it would be a bloody gas chamber.
I think they do put chemicals in public jacuzzis as well but they can fuck it up or be lax. Yuck. Thinking about that UTI again, lol.

Yeah with something that looks like betadine (iodine ointment) had to look it up, its called Bromide (completely unrealted chemically) and other pH adjusters to inhibit bacterial growth in freshwater.
Hot tubs are still disgusting, it's like washing your feet in a stranger's toilet.
