It irritates me when people anthropomorphize body functions. It's like playing a game where whoever is the most delusional wins.
Your liver doesn't care about you, it's responding to stimulus. Just like you are.

Sugar is poison. Test this yourself. Eat a bunch of crap food and you’ll feel like crap. Eat healthy food (non-processed food with no starches) for a few days and you’ll start to feel great; more energy, clearer thinking, motivation to get stuff done, etc. I will preempt any complaints about food being inherently good or bad. Yes, good food is natural, unprocessed, free of bad additives (iodine is additive but necessary) and what we evolved to eat. Bad food is processed, packaged, high in sugar or starch, containing soy or other additives that do not contribute to good nutrition. IF is a normal condition for humans, evolution and recent studies back this up. Another thing you can test yourself; go a day or two eating nothing and see how you feel.
ALL Carbohydrates are Sugar. If you want to know how many sugar calories you are eating, look at that granola bar. 41 grams of Carbs multiply that by 4 and that is your sugar calories... 164 sugar calories ALL glucose raises your blood sugar, which means the pancreas must sent out the insulin to monitor and bring that level back to normal.
where does the insulin put that glucose?
IN YOUR FATTY LIVER & YOUR FAT adipose CELLS.
There is no difference between ORGANIC glucose and Junk food glucose... Glucose is ALL THE SAME and works the same in the body...
You're forgetting fructose mate. Fructose is the motheefucker.
Yes, but broccoli and lettuce are good carbs, I was trying to differentiate between starchy and good carbs. Starch is sugar. That baked potato marketed as healthy will spike your insulin. But eating a salad of low starch veggies is very healthy. Animal fat, olive oil, animal protein and low starch veg are good foods for us to be eating.
Glucose is Glucose and Carbohydrates are glucose... Do not confuse nutrients with sugar/glucose content. Yes broccoli and lettuce are low carbohydrates - meaning low sugar...
potatoes are a lectin food, they will attack your blood stream, they actually are harmful to the body... But not as deadly as the BEAN/nightshade family of foods. NO ONE should ever eat beans ever again.
My wife and I have used keto and intermittent fasting for over 2 years. We've lost lots of fat and our health has greatly improved. Her and the kids used to be in the doctors office almost weekly it seemed, now no one ever gets sick. These days I drink beer like 3 nights a week and eat whatever I want but 1 meal per day. My weight has stayed constant for the last year and my energy levels are the best they have been since I was a teenager
Yup, I do it every day. It helps with mental clarity too!
Longer fasting periods of 3+ days is also incredibly beneficial, including higher rates neurogenesis.
Intermittent fasting does not have to mean you don't eat for days, you get many benefits after 12 hrs. I lost 50+ lbs in 3 months doing "keto" (just drop your carb intake under 50 per day and eat more fat) and not eating anything for 12-14 a day (bedtime until lunch). Not that hard to do because if you eat enough fat you are not hungry like when you are shoving down nothing but carbs. And yes, you can drink coffee/tea during that 12-14 hrs. and still loose weight.
Intermittent fasting has other benefits like rebuilding your telomeres which slows aging. I know other people who have done keto/int fasting and now don't have to take insulin for the diabeetus. Hell, even my 70+ yr old dad lost a bunch or weight and staved off the beetus.
Ansel Keys was a niggerfaggot that made up the more grain/less meat and fat bullshit. He doomed generations to being sick, it was probably on purpose to keep us all buying expensive meds.
Doesn't seem to be beneficial for cannibals:
How does it work exactly? You can't eat for like 10h between your last and first meal? You're going to lose a bit of muscle mass as well.
I mean, IF is not really meant for professional bodybuilders or people with a significant amount of muscle. It's ideal for the general population(especially white collar and pink collar workers) though and was a diet that more accurately represented the average human meal pattern before mass agriculture and industrialization. It generally goes that you do a water fast for most of the day which includes your sleeping hours and then you have a window during some point in the day where you can eat your meals and whatnot.
I eat IF-style and am an advanced power-lifter. The trick is to have your workout right in the middle of your eating-window. Eat a decent but non-heavy meal an hour or so before a workout, and then pig-out when you get home.
You actually lose about 2/3rds less muscle mass with IF (-.23) than with Calorie restriction (-.67) over 7 dsys.
And as long as you aren't sub 7% for men, you can fast 24 hours or more just fine.
Skipping 10 hours is Time Restricted eating. You aren't really intermittently fasting 'till14 hours a day or more.
I've been doing 16 - 8 IF for about 3.5 years now and I don't think I'll ever stop. You most definitely do NOT lose muscle and I've been able to gain significant muscle mass while staying lean af doing IF.
I stop eating at 8pm and don't start eating until noon or later the next day. I eat high protein very low carb but not no carb diet. I try to eat about 3200 calories in my 8 hour window over 4 meals. Lots of eggs and meat.
I workout fasted and continue to hit new PR's fairly regularly.
Someone's body that is a morbidly obese state isn't going to think that it's starving if it goes 20 hours without any food.
Fatties couldn't even begin to fathom what starvation is or what it feels like. All they're feeling is intense fat/sugar cravings from being reliant on those things.
Mix intermittent fasting with keto and fat fucks can self "lap band".
Its a miracle how less hungry someone is when their stomach is a regular size.
Why does intermittent fasting work? Fasting activates something that your body naturally does, It is called Autophagy.
Autophagy is your bodies NATURAL way to clean each and every cell in your body, it recycles your cells, cleans out viruses, molds and every toxic thing in your body.
Autophagy also promotes the lengthening of your DNA telomeres, that is how it reverses aging.
When your telomeres are gone? the tails at the end of your DNA chain... YOU DIE.
