... there are 146 subscribers here. That's a far cry from the tens of thousands on Voat and hundred thousand or so before the Fattening on Reddit. I did my best to advertise on Voat before its demise of the existence of Poal, Ruqqus, etc. Either they've just evaporated, or they're on some other site. Any ideas on how to get the old audience here, or find where it's gone?

PS: Ruqqus isn't looking good, they're already censoring groups.

There were plenty of threads and upvoted comments talking about Poal in the days leading up to the shut down. If people didn't find their way here, it's not for lack of knowledge about this place. You couldn't have been on Voat in those last few days and avoided this place being mentioned. It was basically between Poal, Notabug and Ruqqus. So the people who didn't make it to Poal probably fall into one of these categories:

(1) They weren't active on Voat near the end, and probably weren't going to be active again.

(2) They went to Ruqqus or Notabug and liked it better than here.

(3) They took Voat's shutdown as a sign to distance themselves from the internet, and they're refocusing their lives on other things.

There is also the possibility that many who were at Voat are here, but going by a different username and not participating at a level that they had been previously.

I think you're right on all counts. However, the massive falloff is what has me asking the question (from tens of thousands to less than 200). Of course, I might be too quick off the mark. Time will tell.

Give it time, voat wasn't built in a day. (Cheesy I know but true)
