First off, that's not a cloud of superiority, that's a cloud in their mind of inferiority, because they know the doctor is right but don't want to admit it. If you have a eating disorder because of trauma then maybe you don't need a medical doctor but see (privately) a psychological one that will not tell you that *it's okay to be fat*.
