I'm trying to figure out if they are just lying or if my electric company is giving me low quality power. Probably the first.

They're great !

Only ones I had failed were in my car ... that only cost $1000 to replace due to 1/2 the car needing to be disassembled.

I want to thank the guy who invented them .... to give the old "great job!" accolade.

Anyone have his address?

I haven't had one go yet and I've installed 20+. I had a few that were bad out of the box but they were all from the Dollar Store. Since then I only buy name brands, costs more but I think it's worth it.

The very first LED I got was when they just hit the market and it cost something like $25. That bulb is still in daily use and it has to be at least 10 years old.

They will last normally 3+ years, but hell no not twenty. Who can come back after 3 years and blame the bulb manufacturer (Chinese)? How can you prove faulty design and not bad wiring or local electric supply fluctuations or problem with receptacle. That's the rub. Used to be product were made to last or be repairable, but as we all know now they are build to be replaced and there is shit we can do about it, which sucks.

its probably the brand, i like feit bulbs.

CFLs fuck them
