It's also easy to have a high solar useage grid when you don't give two fucks about how much the customers have to pay. Literally the only power prices higher in the US are in Hawaii, and at least they have the excuse of being a fucking island.

That would probably change in a big way if Hawaii took advantage of their volcanoes to generate geothermal electricity like Iceland does.
