This is awesome. Molten salt is vastly safer than water cooled because its unpressurized. If a molten salt reactor goes sideways, it spills out into a pan around the reactor and solidifies - localized, low hazard, and easy to cleanup. If water cooled goes sideways, you blast pressurized, radioactive steam and debris all over Ukraine.

Molten salt meets the core nuclear power requirement: it's truly fail safe.

FJB but this is legit

Yeah posted b/c it seemed very atypical of him.

He has no clue what anyone is doing

His daily routine is deciding what flavor of ice cream he wants before he approves billions of dollars for foreign wars before calling a lid at 10:30am.

Am I the only one that had never heard the term calling a lid until Biden was running?

Can you say Chernobyl and Fukushima?

If it's a thorium salt reactor, they are infinitely safer than the type of tech you are referring to.

Have they figured out how to actually produce power and not just heat? If they figure out a way to make nuclear energy safe, I'm all for it. I think.

Just off the cuff, I'm pretty sure all nuclear reactors just produce heat that produces steam. The thorium salt process cannot produce Chernobyl or Fukushima type problems, though. Whether or not you should believe those stories as presented is a whole different can of worms. Thorium salt nuclear is safer than gasoline.
