Just based on panel counting it looks like he's got at least 5,000 Watts there. I don't know what the hell he's running in this house but if you get any kind of power management at all he could be completely independent with that with the exception of heat. Turn s off.
I have a small cabin with 300 watts it puts out about 10 amps sometimes as much as 14 amps sometimes as little as 5 amps on a cloudy day. I can run a coffee maker I can run a microwave I can run an ice maker I can run a fan all day. A single lead acid battery is kept fully charged that runs it all. I don't know what the hell he's running in that house but even refrigerators these days only take 4 amps.
And I was assuming each one of those guys panels was 250 w. But I think they're much larger than that and they may be as much as 500 watts which means he may have 10,000 watts of power.
First thing that guy needs to do is go around his house and unplug literally everything from the wall That's plugged in. Then he needs to learn to only plug in things when he's using them. The dude should be completely independent it should be having tons of extra power. With the exception if he's trying to run electric heaters all day. But even then a 1500 watt electric heater should be able to run all day and that's enough to keep one room completely warm so if he takes his damn heater with him instead of trying to keep the whole house and 90° in the winter he should still be well ahead of the game.
i agree. its not the panels, assuming they arent shaded and get full sun. i would suspect an undersized or faulty inverter.
Yeah, that's an absurd amount of panels he has. His Generac meter said he was getting 5.62KW. I can imagine the solar panels themselves aren't the problem so much as energy storage and delivery are. It is certainly possible he was oversold and had the expectation he could max out every outlet in his house ( like 20 or so ). Basically it's a he said she said between that Pink company and Generac. Both companies gripe with each other could be true.
thanks for your bias and useless opinion...I guess the guys just nor as smart as you ? so how to you explain the company going under ? everyone is to stupid to understand the wonderful world of solar panels
