I'm thinking people are going to be shocked at their furnace oil bill in places that rely on oil for heat. It will probably double.

People who buy energy in advance will be warned. Most people in Germany rent their flat and pay for heating and electricity only once a year (with advance payments of 1/12 of the last bill per month) - some say that up to 20% will default and that the government should help.

my oil supplier was and is still limiting ppl to 150 gallons/delivery unless they specifically request more because of price shock. Spent just under $700.

so ya this winter, unless there is a drastic improvement or we discover zero point energy rates are going to be nutty.

Yep. Get out of frozen zones or secure your own fuel source. Wood in my case.

Dont be dumb fucking sheep.

I bet the Biden mob have their hands in American energy too. And a bunch of sen and con people too.

The Russians have been trying to use energy as leverage, and on Monday they announced that the amount of natural gas flowing through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline will be reduced

False. The maintenance of the turbines is pre-scheduled for their whole lifetime, it's always done in the summer - it has nothing to do with using energy as leverage.

Germany could finish the paperwork for Nord Steam 2, give back all the confiscated Russian goods and frozen money, pay the gas in rubles, and ignore the screams of the US-Neocons - and the "crisis" would be over tomorrow.

Get out of here with your logic and facts.

Canada has been holding up the repairs of the turbines

Yes, but then we'd pull out of Germany, and...Fulda Gap... I DO think this will be a critical winter in the US, on many levels & across the board.

Most US troops have already moved to Poland, only the intelligence community and some logistics stayed in Germany. The Poles are happy that they were chosen to fight the Russians to the last Pole.

How would you feel if your power bill went up by 50 percent this winter?

It already went up 40% in December
