I would store a huge amount of coal locally so when everything is locked down on the ports they don't run out. Maybe get a quarter acre piled high with coal so it can be used still when the rest of the country goes black.

Back in college (18 years ago) I toured a local coal fired power plant. They had a mountain of coal stored up in case of logistical issues. They said it was a one month supply.
It was a lot bigger than an acre.
I hope the plants are storing up a 6 month or even a year supply if possible. Things are getting worse and worse.
