Even at 30 cents, one solar panel costs $600 and will produce $200 worth of electricity per year. Over 25 years the panel produces $14,500 worth of power (assuming 8% inflation in price of electricity). No sane person would pass up an investment of $600 that would return $14,500 over 25 years.

LOL. You think that's bad. California recently decided that solar panels were racist since mostly only white people have the sense to invest in some energy independence. They're getting ready to enact a monthly tax on people with solar panels to pay for solar panels for spics and niggers.

That's why, whenever I get a job offer in Commiefornia, I tell the caller that they can't pay me enough money to consider living there, let alone actually go.
