This stuff above is just the pawns moving on the chessboard - Putin plays the game well, which frustrates his enemies to no end. Trump knew - he could see at least part of it too. Suffice to say there is more to Russia's intervention in Syria than the Russian love for the Syrian people. The whole scenario is directly tied to the Ukraine, and to the power elite of the Western world as well. Especially the USA. Energy is the largest industry in the world, by far. It is massively larger than food, drugs, weapons, computers, or any of that other lucrative stuff. The real power plays are all energy related. The global drug trade is a hobby business by comparison. So follow the pipelines... you are never far from the center of the action when you do that.
