The Alaska Republican Party has declared its intention to seek a full recount and comprehensive review of the razor-thin election results for Ballot Measure 2, a proposal aimed at abolishing Alaska’s open primary system and the use of ranked-choice voting in general elections.

The measure was narrowly defeated, with the “No” vote leading by a margin of just 0.1%, or 664 votes out of over 320,000 cast, according to nearly complete election results.

Ballot Measure 2 aimed to reverse Alaska’s controversial ranked-choice voting system and open primaries, implemented after a 2020 referendum. Under this system, the top four candidates in a nonpartisan primary, regardless of party affiliation, advance to the general election.

In 2022, Democrat Rep. Mary Peltola “won” reelection in Alaska to a full term in the House after she defeated Sarah Palin in a special election to replace Rep. Don Young. .

Also, appointments should not be based on "population" but "citizenship". Yes, I also believe that those records should be used to deport non-citizens (criminal illegal aliens).

Only citizenship population should be used to determine the representation of any state. Non-citizens (Even perm-resident's) should not count. They are not citizens, they do not count.
