I'm so glad I was a " teen " in the late 70s. We had the best cars of any generation . GM had differing styles , Buick , Oldsmobile , Chevy all had sweet cars , based on same platform , yet distinct styles. MoPar had insanely cool cars , AMC even had the AMX. 3 Wrenches and a couple screwdrivers and you could fix almost anything. My first car I bought was a 69 Oldsmobile Cutlass with a 350 Rocket with a turbo 400 and 12 bolt posi . Paid 400 bucks , it had 72k miles , literally bought it from a lil old lady . Sure the cars were more temperamental, but they had class and style. Now these cars were roughly 10 years old or more , but man they were great !
