It's an interesting fact that as soon as guns were discovered by Japan, they were outlawed due to incompatibility with the Samurai code of honor. Japan didn't fair well in WWII because of their staunch commitment to tradition, but they continue to uphold their long established values, and guns are still outlawed in Japan to this very day.
