I screwed up the image post (assets-global.website-files.com)

Subvert - isement (adbusters.org)

I used to follow adbusters around the turn of the century. It was a guilty pleasure. They are definitely the anti-capitalist hard-left, but I found their "subvertisement," campaign to be incredibly entertaining even if I did not agree with the subtext of any particular meme. I subscribed to their paper magazine, "Adbusters - Journal of the Mental Environment," and found a lot in common with what they wrote about which would mostly be reflected in the worst aspects of the internet and marginalization of the individual today. Before long they became all climate change all the time and I stopped following them.

This post made me think of the subvertise campaign again and I though I'd share some examples. Most of the poal comments are an expression of how a user would subvert this ad campaign. If you are an artfag with such inclination I thought I'd share these examples. You may be surprised at the amount of commonality between this group and poalers on some ideas.

Please enjoy in the spirit in which it is shared as examples of subverting advertising campaigns and spaces.

If you are going to develop your subvertisement skills I'd also direct you to Globohomo Art General (archive.4plebs.org) threads to develop your craft using common art styles of today.

Thanks, I pasted the image but was thinking that would go through pic8.

Glad to help. As long as the checkbox for 'Use pic8' is checked, which it is by default, the pasted image link would become a pic8 link for your post. You noted fucking something up, which had bypassed the normal conversion of it to being a pic8 pic, so I did it manually for the raw link you included to help out.

Inability to read nine sentences sounds like a you problem.

I honestly prefer curated corporate content and Twitter screen capture posts.
