SharePoint is shit. It's always been shit. Was literally an industry joke for like a decade.
And everything in Azure is built upon it.
Yes. My current dilemma is that it's just such a pain in the ass to use and impossible to find anything in, that people aren't using it. Hereticorp wants people to have current policies and procedures close at hand, but there's literally no way to search for anything in that system that isn't broken. It's not even a good document control system as there's no historical record of changes. I literally can't find the procedures I wrote sometimes and I know exactly what they're called and how they're labelled.
I suggested using directory lister instead. It's a simple "here it is" and can be treated like any other folder on a webhost. That way my lUsers have what they need right there, and different locations can be maintained for different disciplines.
No, we'll deploy multiple sharepoint sites for each satellite location and wind up with a mess of shit. Happy I don't handle deployment.
