Ever notice how basically all "Polyamorous" relationships are with a single woman and multiple men? This is because these "men" have been brought up being told they are inferior to women and because if that they likely believe they are not capable of worthy of a single woman all to themselves. The women, on the other hand, are all over estimating their value because society tells women that they are wonderful and perfect. What she doesn't realize its that she doesn't have three MEN. She only has three "males". On the open market she would be unlikely to get single devoted "man". It's easy to collect "males". Comic book publishers have done it for years. But it's hard to be a "worthy" and beneficial wife for a strong man. Just like it's more difficult to be a strong man to a wife whose is equally worthy of his male abilities and responsibilities through her own female versions.
