Yes Apple is hot stinky garbage. I fucking HATE apple, to the point that I WILL NOT help my wife with her phone or computer.

If you bought an Apple product, I hope you suffered as a result, and that suffering has persuaded you not to buy another apple product.

All of that considered. Apple makes a decent product no more or less susceptible to this type of electrical behavior, than any of the other manufacturers. We all know the genius bar is a sick joke.

I use a mac for work. It was that or a POS windows box. They are not up to giving *nix systems to people that live in that world.

I will still take a crapple over a windows box. At least I get a real shell without having to install that broken and bloated as fuck WSL bullshit.

For everything else? yeah, I run it myself and its *nix. Fuck that windows or mac bullshit.

I am forced into a windows laptop. My boss knows I use it only to connect to MY machine. then everything else runs from there.

I agree with you to the extent of taking a crapple over a winblows box, if the crapple can still be rooted. (yes i understand for your work computer (not self employed), this may not be an option. And remains the only reason we have windows or mac in the house. She is forced to mac, I am forced to Winblows.

The caveat of my job, I own the servers (I've built myself a nice TS), we have a few mandatory winblows, our main stuff is AIX, and I get linux into the door every small chance I get. Not thet i beleive the untuned or unspecified linux should be granted free access to anything post sysv.

Funny side... I learned on winblows. I am the only person that has any idea how those operate on my team. SO I am relegated to the maintenance of every application we have that requires windows.

Yes, I have attempted to train others, they refuse to learn, some few, making it known they will not learn that.
