you should always let let your steak come to full room temp

bromelain you can be allergic too,

generally what i do is just salt & pepper sear on cast iron 1-2 minutes then flip... add butter (basically gordan ramsey style) the then baste with it while the other side is cooking

basically the most important is to not let the cast iron get too hot... it retains a lot of heat

glad you liked your steak :-)

Thank you!😁 However, I would eat top ramen before cooking a steak on the stove. I have cast iron, I just can’t get my head into pan fried steak. Always on the grill here in Ca. Prior to my finding the bromelain, all I really did was salt and pepper, and not too soon. Salt to early and the salt will leach liquid from your beef. Salt and pepper, then brush with olive oil for the crust. Not EV, just regular olive oil.

pull out of fridge, set on a plate and put whatever spices you want on it but most importantly salt.

let sit until it is room temp.

put it on your little tiny grill at medium heat cuz that thing gets hot as fuck even on the low setting

close the lid, cook 4 minutes on one side

flip

4 minutes on other side.

Boom, perfect medium rare steak on your little tiny grill that's just like mine.

cook for 5 minutes on both sides if the steak is super thicc

or 5 minutes on first side, and 4 minutes on the other side if it's just kinda thicc

Do I know you? What about my tiny little grill?

You are correct. Five on front, four on back.

And yes, my grill is tiny.

How did you know?

I've been watching you, John.

Whew, shit, for a minute I thought you were Muh neighbor. I’m not John, not al all. However, I use a Coleman portable two burner propane rig. Laugh as they will, but I can cook anything on that little bitch. I like it when it gets all gummed up and greasy, gets the massive flare ups. That’s when you get god steaks. Did pork chops last night. Beef grease flare up added to pork chop flavor for sure.
