Ballot box biology at its finest. Tons of lions in cali, no biological reason not to hunt them. But anti hunting groups got it shot down by pulling at the emotions of cat ladies and other assorted city people with zero understanding of wildlife, and shutting it down via voter initiative. Cant even own a lion part in cali, even if legally harvested elsewhere. California is fucking ridiculous. Bobcat hunting was recently outlawed there too. Im sure theyll go after bear hunting and coyote hunting soon, then all hunting. They just want everybody to eat soyburgers and not have guns.
