Yeah they lie. However, when coerced by someone who is actually close with God and who wields the name above all names with authority, they are forced to tell the truth.
People like the 7 sons of Sceva in the Bible aren’t successful to any degree, and would be an example of someone who they could lie to and get away with it.. so it depends on who is doing the deliverance. Someone who has the Holy Spirit in them, or someone who doesn’t?
