Said that there were enough beans and materials in the pipeline to last until August. This is just "someone sez" so take it for whatever that's worth.

Coffee went up by 37% in the UK a few weeks ago,

I heard it was going up a long time ago but this is the first big jump we've seen.

. . butter is up 75% too, normally I don't buy the super expensive brand, but when it went up it was the same price as the cheapest brand, so I have posh butter this month, it's actually really nice, not 75% nice but still...

chickpeas and cooking oil will go up too

Butter, if sealed in a vacuum bag, will keep for a long time frozen.

I switched to a combo fridge/freezer a while back so I have zero spare freezer space any more.

I think I'll keep the old full size freezer just in case this gets really bad

Get a battery system that will run it for a minimum of two days, and enough panel wattage to charge said battery system in one day. expect fuel for generators and the power grid to be iffy.

Just buy ghee, its shelf stable.

Butter in the freezer is fine with me.

Many things will be. If you're only prepping now you're late.

Good info.

Just remember it's someone said someone said. But with all the other weird supply chain interruptions, who knows?

Good idea to stock up on everything. At worst you get to pay pre-inflation prices.
