It's always amusing listening to someone go "But you can buy a used electric vehicle for 25k!"
Someone had to buy that vehicle at full price to start with, but I can still get a decently equipped gasoline sedan for about 25k - new. Less if you pick one of the few that still offers manual transmission.
You can buy a used electric vehicle for 25k (that only needs a 20k battery pack)
I'm sure it still has some life in it, but I can hear problems within a gasoline engine (sometimes) with a good examination. With a battery pack, you not only have the unknown as to how the pack was treated, but there's no way to determine if a cell(s) are going to fail until they do.
