Here is a news article regarding how much does it cost to run an electric car, and then they compare it by using $.18/KW as the cost basis. Let me tell you, unless you are way below the poverty line and this is the only electricity you use , ie you are homeless, there is no way in hell you are paying anywhere near that. If you are lucky you are going to be at .54, most likely .79 or higher.

This would be like everyone calculating cost to drive to work if gas was $.30 a gallon instead of 6 bucks.

They need us all imoblized , and making us walk is the way to do it. There is not a thing they do that isn't globohomo

I watched a video about an electric car the other day. The range went from a supposed 299 miles down to under 100 miles when towing a small trailer. You lose about 50 miles of range if you raise your average highway speed from 60 mph to 70 mph. You lose range if you carry anything on a roof rack. You lose range if you run the heater. You lose range if you drive in "sport" mode. In fact, you lose miles of range if you do anything except creep around the streets like Granny Tiptoes on her way to church. If you live where it snows, forget about electric. You lose range big time in the cold, and you're lucky if it starts at all.

...and heat kills batteries. I can just imagine people trying to charge in the california desert where millions of people are straining the grid after all the power plants have been shut down and AC is running. I would assume you almost need to have the garage air conditioned.
