Let me tell you, unless you are way below the poverty line and this is the only electricity you use , ie you are homeless, there is no way in hell you are paying anywhere near that. If you are lucky you are going to be at .54, most likely .79 or higher.

This would be like everyone calculating cost to drive to work if gas was $.30 a gallon instead of 6 bucks.

They need us all imoblized , and making us walk is the way to do it. There is not a thing they do that isn't globohomo

Do you know if there are hybrids where you can manually choose when to switch to electric?

Yes, but those are the mclarin and Porsche where the electric is there to make it go faster, rather than the main powerplant.

The Toyota hybrids and the like autoselect , at least the ones I've seen.

A locomotive is 100% electric motor, and the diesel engine is an ac generator.
