Only alternative I can think of is, that they gave him one hell of a plastic surgery makeover, to mask the fact that he already looked like a walking corpse - which would not be a good look for a future president. On the other hand, he seemed to have his wits just a few years prior to his presidency - now he sounds like a dementia patient. But that shit moves fast, so honestly don't know what to think.
