It is obvious to me that they are attempting to destroy retail. The real push only began when they enforced online local tax collection on purchases. Assuring their taxation income they began making laws to prohibit prosecution for petty theft under $1000 to encourage the flash mob thefts now taking place. They also are pushing no bond, or low bond release on violent criminals. Retailers throw in the towel and shut down or go to an entirely online presence. Normal citizens are dissuaded from going out to shop because of the crime. Shopping online instead. Who wants to get run over by an SUV? Covid terror has the same affect. The long game is to shut down any avenue of cash transaction. Every purchase made online is trackable, traceable and digital. So much easier to control, monitor and interrupt if you do not play nice.
