In the UK, there's stories of people getting injected in nightclubs, then these supposed needle attacks at NRG (Travis crush gig). I've never heard of intravenous needles being used as a weapon before, then in the last 2 weeks it's suddenly a regular thing despite being 4000 miles apart.

I swear I'm getting more paranoid or more aware by the day.

I recall hearing of attempted store robberies 15 - 20 years ago where a used syringe was the weapon of choice. That fad didn't last long.
