They exist. I saw one in Quebec years ago. Looked exactly like the orbs over the Capitol (that were in German flight formation) in 1952

Maybe. Some of the remaining ships were still burning when they got home.

Just remembered that Admiral Byrd said something to the effect of: “Don’t go back there!” which would only make sense if Highjump had not only not succeeded, but if there were a risk of some counterattack he did not believe conventional military could endure.
