If my goal was a complicit society, drastically reduced in size, one way I could do it is to start with Covid.

The "vaccine" sorts out obedient citizens willing to conform to control from government from the rebels, free thinkers and misfits willing to stand against government oppression.

The obedient took the vaccine.

The rebels did not, because they knew there was no real medical reason to do so.

The next phase of this plan, my theory being, is to introduce a new type of disease that is VERY DEADLY. What we were told Covid originally was...bodies in the streets...chaos...hospitals overwhelmed. Imagine 80% of everyone you know is dead or dying.

What if Covid was a drill to prepare everyone for what is actually about to come? What if every obedient citizen that was "vaccinated" was really inoculated against the real virus? The one coming....soon.

They'd wipe out everyone who didn't blindly accept their control by taking the "vaccine" and thin the earth's population in one swoop.

The same thought has occurred to me, about a year ago now. This is not a real illness. It is possible that the West preempted the Chinese releasing an actual bio weapon. While Trump was in office, I thought there were decent odds that Chinese held debt would be defaulted on, China would be sanctioned to death and sink their economy because they "caused the pandemic".

Doesn't look like it's going to play out that way. At this point it's much more likely that the US will agitate China into open warfare. I think a Chink EMP is in our future. Taiwan will fall the same day.
