Hunter-killer drones are here already, and their regular use in warfare is only a heartbeat into the future. If I were designing them, I'd mount them with either 12-gauge shotguns or rapid fire automatic machine guns of small caliber, such as the Uzi. Or you could use an explosive with shrapnel -- that would be wasteful but probably the easiest solution.
