I've been trying to tell people for a decade that "non-profits" are the vehicle of corruption, grift, and totalitarianism in the United States. They are the jew authoritarian's wet dream. You can fund them and get a tax deduction for doing so; there's no rules about who they hire or for what, so you can hand out high-paying jobs to political allies and their families with zero qualifications for anything; and as 'private' enterprises they have almost none of the Constitutional restrictions that government agencies have.
If anyone was interested in getting some real reform going on in their state they would get a law on the books that
- Prohibits the government from taking any money that comes with conditions or requirements from a non-governmental organization;
- Prohibits any governmental agency, official, or their staff from even communicating outside of a public meeting with any non-governmental organization that has contributed to a political campaign of any elected official in the jurisdiction, whether made by the organization as a whole or members thereof;
- Prohibits any non-governmental organization or members, employees, or agents thereof from participating in the development of any appropriations, legislation, regulation, or conduct of any other government business in any capacity above and beyond that granted to the general public at large.
