It takes a while for pipeline shortages to reflect in gas prices. They may be trying to spook the public into buying the available gasoline in order to accelerate the shortage.
This appears to be intentional sabotage of our energy supplies.

Where I am at in the Midwest, prices and availability are not perceptibly different. We are about $1 more expensive (50%) under Biden than Trump but no changes I can directly attribute to the pipeline shutdown.

I don't know if it affected my area yet. I put filled up on Sunday and I have a busted knock sensor so I've avoided driving until I get a replacement, which won't get here until Friday(on a related note, you notice the mail takes longer than usual lately?)
