It wasn't quietly declared though. Everybody knows US lost the Syria war several years ago. That's why Trump was smart and withdrew troops because he knew the US had no interests in Syria to begin with. The war was a sham started by Obama/Biden for the wrong reasons. So, God wasn't on their side in it. It's that simple. Every Christian knows the stories of the old Israelites and how they lost wars to their enemies whenever they weren't on the side of God no matter how strong they were before that. It's Christianity War 101! Nothing surprising there.
