They still own the infrastructure and porn-sites, but this way it funnels everyone in to the cams. Women feel "safe" because they don't need to fuck random strangers to make money, and probably make *even more* than they would as a "porn star". Add to this the fear of meeting new people due to pandemic hoaxes, and said people's ever-pressurizing libidos and— wow. Yup... I get it, now.
