I am trying to find out what weapons were used in Russian Civil War of 1917. Strangely, I was able to find only rifles and machine guns. There is no trace of tanks or airplanes, or chemical weapons, even if Russia had plenty of it in WWI. Right now it looks like somebody was deliberately avoiding the use of war machines, allowing the use only of guns.

If you were able to find any list with war machines used by Russians, please let me know.

The 1917 action was a revolution, not a war. Revolutions use banal forms of ethnic cleansing, dissident extermination, and population control, rather than kinetic military activity.

This is similar to the current forms of ethnic cleansing, dissident extermination, and population control in the United States. The US military failed in its primary function in 2020 and now its citizens are slated for extermination.

Thanks for the links, but they are about non Russian war machines. I am talking about Russians, can't find any link showing the use of war machines by Russians.

tanks were supplied by the British but used by the Russians. Same with the chemical weapons.

I see. Then it's still weird that Russians lost to a bunch of jews.

The revolution was during WWI. Tanks were essentially prototypes and weren’t used in any substantial means until the final years of the war and were first used by Britain. Planes were still rickety bi-planes, used primarily for reconnaissance and dog-fights, which were more posturing and a “sporting” competition mostly for newspaper headlines and moral. Add this to the fact that Russia was woefully behind in military tech compared to other participants, this isn’t the least it surprising. The Russians were still announcing their troop movements and communications over open radio frequencies lol.

Basic history, my man.

Fun-fact: they’re called tanks because as they were being prepped to be deployed to the frontlines, military intelligence wanted to hide their existence and referred to them as such to make the Germans believe they were merely “water tanks” for troop supply.

Second fun fact: The first dive-bomb maneuver (planes being used against infantry and ground targets) wasn’t performed until 1927, by US forces in Nicaragua. Early in the First World War, pilots were often shooting at each other with pistols.

Dive bombing in those rickety old things would've ripped the wings faster than the pilot could even say "dive bomb".

Thanks a lot. Very useful information.

If you enjoy history and want to learn more, I highly recommend Hardcore History by Dan Carlin. Very even keeled, in-depth and captivating pod cast, he even dips into conspiracy angles occasionally. There’s a great five-part series on WWI called “Blueprint for Armageddon”.

I’ve downloaded and paid for a few episodes just because I like to support quality work, but you can download the entire series (mostly) on Pirate Bay if you want.
