World population: 7,842,000,000.

Texas land area: 261,232 sq. mi. == 7,282,730,188,800 sq. ft.

That is 929 sq. ft. per person. (0.02 acres).

People need about 50 acres each to grow enough crops, fish, resources such as wood. as they consume.

World land area: 3.68E+10 acres.

World population: 7.84E+9 people.

That is just 4.7 acres per person (!). That is including Antarctica, the Himalayas, the Sahara, etc (!!). I never did this calculation before and the discovery is utterly appalling and horrifying to me. I checked the calculation again and again by different methods - it's true.
