I see news about Tuesday night everyone lighting up buildings over COVID-19 deaths, then Wednesday Biden is inaugurated. It reminds me of the AntiChrist coming to power in a festival of lights.

I looked up the Left Behind movies. I remember Kirk Cameron and the female lead walking through DC during an inauguration, with lights everywhere and someone breaking a window. That sounds like Wednesday, exactly. I can not find the video clip. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong movie?

If you mean the "antichrist" from the bible, the bible says anyone who denies Jesus is the literal Son of God come in the flesh is "antichrist".

Not an end time boogeyman.

If you mean the "man of sin/son of perdition", those titles are claimed by the popes of rome.

Church Tradition has always held there will be a literal antiChrist ascendent during the End Times.

Then we must default to the scriptures to prove it. The word antichrist is used by only 1 author of scripture. John.

4 times.

1st John 2:18 - Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

1st John 2:22 - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son

1st John 4:3 - And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

2nd John 7 - For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Those verses are the "biblical" antichrist.

Scripture should always be the default above tradition. It is speaking of a "spirit" or condition. Not a end time superman.

The Church is well aware of the Spirit of the antiChrist which is “already in the world”, and nevertheless despite this has always asserted that a literal human antiChrist would ascend to global power - along with the Beast and the False Prophet - as an “Unholy Trinity” in mockery of the Holy Trinity.

The two assertions don’t contradict each other - and Holy Tradition completes Scripture, not contradicting it. The Scriptures are themselves part of the Tradition, after all.
