The official story about one drugged out, mentally ill guy killing 2 armed men, one a decorated SEAL who did 4 tours in the Middle East is obvious bullshit. Handguns aren't death rays anywhere but on TV. There is, however, a scenario where I believe Eddie Routh could have done the job alone.

It seems fairly certain Routh had been His whole life changed when he went to Haiti as part of a force to help rescue victims of the magnitude 7.0 earthquake that hit the island in January of 2010. Haiti is a communist controlled country located on the western half of the island of Hispaniola. The eastern half of the island is the currently infamous Dominican Republic. We know Routh has a history of drug use, primarily marijuana. While not a particularly notorious drug, it is one that could potentially have exposed him to bad actors in Haiti. Haiti is also known for being an area where the Voodoo cult is very strong, and murder or harm by drugging is a signature of that cult.

Additionally, it turns out marijuana and alcohol both are known to increase a person's Routh had been drinking and smoking marijuana the day of the murder (the 33rd day of 2013) prior to going to the range. This would have caused Kyle to be very aware of what Routh was doing while at the range out of concern for the safety of everyone in their party. It is unlikely he would have turned his back on Routh knowing he was armed with a loaded weapon. Littlefield, on the other hand, would have allowed his attention to be diverted from Routh if he knew Kyle was coaching him with a weapon.

Kyle's last tour in Iraq ended at some time in and Routh's PTSD treatment would have begun in early 2010. They both lived in the southern part of Dallas, Texas and met because of people they both knew in the Veteran's Administration hospital network in that area. Plus, thanks to the recent we have a second potential tie between PTSD councilors in the Dallas area and murder sprees.

Chris Kyle may have been treated for his PTSD using therapy that included hypnosis. It is a common technique used for PTSD treatment and we know that the fact he had PTSD makes it probable he was able to successfully be hypnotized. In fact, it makes it likely he was

So here's the scenario. Routh is trained to hypnotize Kyle.

Everyone assumes Routh killed Kyle first and then Littlefield because Kyle is the more significant battle threat, but if Routh were able to nullify Kyle by putting him into a hypnotic trance, he could kill Littlefield first and kill Chris Kyle after that. This would explain many of the issues raised by the circumstances of the murders, such as the fact that one man was able to kill two armed men yet neither of the victims' guns (archived ) in their holsters. Routh, in this scenario, could have killed Kyle at his leisure and thus could have picked up the second gun rather than reloading the first, explaining how 2 different guns were used and why Littlefield had been shot only with the 9mm and Kyle only with 45 caliber bullets.
