That tells us that high temperatures are decreasing. Now what about low temperatures?
The temperature records are all manner of fucked up. Adjustments and "homogenisation" all over the place. Much of the "waning" is from higher overnight low temps. This is mainly due to urban heat Island effects, which get "homogenised" out into the surrounding areas.
