Missed a few opportunities last year to post on my peppers, sauces, etc. Not that last year's haul was great, because it surely wasn't but it was better than the last few years certainly - hoping this year is better still.
Got two of types of peppers ready now though I meant to do it in December, a couple TDYs changed my plans. Pictured here are Dragons Breath and Congo/Maruga Scorpion mix - 10 and 6 planted respectively.
It wasn't bad - hearty pepper really. Earthy and a bit fruity, hot but not overly. If I can actually get more than a dozen this time, I'll make a sauce with them. They ripened so disproportionate last year, I just dehydrated them to use on my pork rinds.
This is a sub for posting about spicy foods! Have a good hot sauce? Write a review! Growing peppers? Let us know! Share recipes for spicy salsa!
It's a spicy world out there. Let's share it together.
