Thanks for posting - just seen the Guiness dude hand Ed the record pedigree! I have a write-up for some sauces featuring Pepper X to share, so I hope everything jives. Given what I know about Pepper X from Ed and what I've eaten by way of sauce, I wanna try one raw.. grow it, and make my own sauces with it. Perhaps next year if Ed releases seeds.
Yeah, I read the part about not releasing seeds atm and I don't blame him but it would be cool to grow one yourself. I have an indoor hydro setup for basic veggies & stuff year round and its done a pretty good job with sweet peppers and jalapeños. Im not into the super hot stuff but I have been able to handle up to ghost-pepper levels.
Ill be interested in reading a post about this stuff used in sauces though and the possible medical uses since ive read a bit on how super hot peppers have been used in the medical field. I think I read somewhere that the stuff that makes "icey hot", "hot" is capsaicin.
