'Extra Hot' is a bit of a misnomer, but I must add its caveat since there is a black label and a red label - red label being 'hotter'. That said, this is a wonderful sauce paired wisely with red-sauced dishes. What do I mean by red-sauced dishes?

I have tried this sauce with a myriad of dishes and what I found was this particular sauce - because of the black truffle - only pairs well with 'like' dishes. Gumbo, for instance, is a no-go. Red gravy (tomato based sauce) is wonderful; chili as well. Korean 'fire sauce' dishes (buldak) is another beautiful pairing; Romesco sauce is outta sight, etc.

I would put tis sauce at about 20K SHU. Not hot per se, but adds a lot of umami to the right dish.

Ingredients:

TRUFF Chili Blend [Rdd Chili Peppers, Vinegar, Organic Sugar, Garlic, Salt, Black Truffle]; Olive Oil [infused with Black Truffle essence]; Organic Agave Nectar; Red Habanero Powder; Lycopene and Glycerin [for color]; Spices; and Xanthan Gum

Note: I am working on another recipe - first evolution will be done today. All I will say is its base chile is chocolate reaper.

black truffle

It has zero black truffle in it. It just has (((flavoring))).

well they state in their ingredient list under 'Truff chili blend' that they utilize black truffle - since I am not going to run a sample in a gas-spectro I will have to take their word on it. But I would tend to agree with 'flavoring' as a blanket ingredient, and thus, suspect.

it's a decent sauce that i had on-hand but I much prefer my own.

Truth is, they've figured out how to get truffle flavor from a petroleum product.

Enjoy faggot.

I still don't understand the obsession with (((truffle))) flavored stuff. Its an extremely off putting scent/flavor.
