This particular sauce is the 'big brother' to the one featured on Hot Ones: 'Da Bomb: Beyond Insanity' coming in at about 136, 000 SHU. The one I am featuring today is 'Ground Zero' and comes in at a purported 322, 000 SHU - I consider this a medium heat. It has the right flavor profile for what I use it for: sauces; but more specifically, barbacoa tacos. This is added in addition to the cosumé I mentioned in another post. The ONLY thing I do not care for is Da Bomb touts that their sauce blends in 'natural pepper extract' which typically translates into capsaicin oil - the heat for the sake of the heat as opposed to flavor. It does pack a wallop though if sustained, so if you enjoy sweat beads running down your head, this sauce will help you.

*will add ingredient list if requested

That crap is terrible.

straight-up and by itself, I'd agree. I like the smokiness of the chipotles and the heat profile it adds.

What do you normally mix it with?

I add maybe an eyeballed TBSP to the homemade consumé I make for barbacoa tacos, or added to the consumé for birria, curry, gumbo, tamales, or even a bbq sauce. there are superior sauces out there but I happened to have this one about and have experience with it.
