So you dump these directly to a hard drive? I'd love to read a post on how you do all that. If you have time to write one up.
I should, when we were doing it it was all custom electronics and coding. Now however there are cards you pop into a PC and it takes whatever adapter for everything primarily the That thing is the Cadillac of flux imaging.
This is a whole world of stuff I always wondered about but never broke into. That device looks like it would be bad ass for imaging floppys I wish I had known about it years ago. I would have saved some old floppys I had of mac games from the OS 6 days
Any Amiga can read and dump floppys from any system as long as they are double density. If the Amiga has a high density drive installed that they can read those disks as well. The Amiga floppy drives are the most accurate at read/write as they read at the flux level v.s. data blocks like PC. I was able to transfer about 1 gig of files that a client needed that were in wordperfect 4 format that wouldn't read on a PC floppy drive due to their age.
