It's not just investors who don't see the point of them anymore. Gamers have by and large turned their backs on them due to extremely predatory practices and price gouging. I can't even remember the last time I stepped foot in one. I have a feeling that my Switch is gonna be the last console that I own. I outgrew dedicated consoles over a decade ago but have been in denial about it. PC only for me now. I have a feeling that with hardware like steamdeck, I'm not the only one who will be following this shift.
I bought Mario Wonder there when it came out. I do hear stories of them offering really low ball prices to people selling or trading items with them. I don't avoid buying from them, but I don't favor it either. Their price on the game was the same as everywhere else and it was close. Simple as that.
I'm 90% a PC gamer but I do like the Switch, I'll probably buy the Switch 2 if the price point is around the $350 I'm reading. I think that's fair. Switch was the first console I bought since the N64.
